Nestled in a prime location for exploring Foix, the Camping served as a base for my recent adventure. I must admit, my expectations were not met: the “1 bed cottage” felt more akin to a small shipping container and was far from the luxury I usually seek. The key selling point here is definitely the staff. During our late-night arrival, the young couple on duty provided exceptional assistance, demonstrating true hospitality in our moment of need. The amenities were basic yet clean, with a seasonal outdoor pool to unwind by and well-maintained shower facilities. There’s a supermarket conveniently located across the road, which is definitely a plus wanting to self-cater—useful considering the limited kitchen setup. Exploring nearby attractions like the Labouiche underground river and medieval castles was easy. Although I expected a bit more comfort, the value proposition here lies in the balance of affordable accommodation and decent facilities. With free Wi-Fi and outdoor dining areas, it's practical, making it a reasonable choice for budget-conscious travelers wanting to connect with nature. Just be aware that this is more about utility than luxury—a mixed bag for the discerning adventurer.
